After attending the "PM Compact for SAP ERP" seminar, participants will be familiar with the basic functions of maintenance in the SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module and understand how maintenance and repair processes can be planned, carried out, and monitored in the SAP ERP system.
Participants will gain an overview of important organizational structures and master data in maintenance, particularly technical objects such as functional locations, equipment, and parts lists, which are used to represent plants and machines in a structured way in the system.
In addition, they learn about key processes involved in breakdown-related and planned maintenance —from maintenance notifications to planning and controlling maintenance orders to implementing and completing measures.
Another focus is on preventive maintenance, such as the use of work plans, maintenance plans, and maintenance strategies for planning recurring maintenance measures. Integration with other SAP areas, in particular Materials Management (MM) and Controlling (CO), is also considered.
After the seminar, participants will be able to classify the most important maintenance processes in the SAP ERP system and understand how maintenance, repair, and asset management are supported by the system.
